HarborFM

Analytics

HarborFM tracks listens and feed traffic for shows served from the HarborFM host. Open Analytics from the show page (managers, owners, and collaborators with the View role or above can see analytics).

If you deploy audio only to a remote CDN via Podcast Delivery and listeners never hit HarborFM for enclosures, built-in play analytics for those remote files will not apply. Stats still cover traffic that goes through HarborFM.

Overview Charts

Default window is roughly the last 2 weeks, using the server’s local timezone (including today), so same-day traffic shows without waiting until tomorrow. Empty chart messages ("No data in the last 2 weeks") are centered in the chart area.

Overview charts use listener totals by default. Charts distinguish:

  • Listeners - Known podcast apps and normal clients
  • Crawlers - Directory agents and feed bots (e.g. Spotify/1.0, Amazon Music Podcast, feed bots)

Tiny partial Range probes (for example feed preload metadata) do not count as episode requests; full-file GETs still do. Public feed and embed players use preload="none" to avoid inflating stats.

Breakdowns

Stats (RSS, episode requests, episode listens, location) include a source dimension derived from User-Agent when possible: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Pocket Casts, Overcast, or Other. Use this to see which apps drive traffic. GeoIP (GeoLite2) powers location when configured in Admin settings.

Episode Charts and Table

Episode Requests and Listens bar charts show at most the 8 most recent episodes (newest publish/update first), with taller charts so titles stay readable. The table view still lists every episode with full titles. When a show has more than eight episodes, a short note under the bar chart explains the limit.
